It’s official! As of Monday, 6 July, FAO is opening its doors online and offering virtual group visits. While guided tours at FAO headquarters are suspended as a measure amidst the current COVID-19 outbreak, the Group Visits’ team has been actively preparing to go digital and offer its services to students, researchers, and curious minds alike – all online.

Do you want to learn more about the history of the Organization and how FAO is working to end hunger and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals?

For the very first time, the Group Visits team will be offering Zoom visits to groups of 15 to 50 people aged 11 and over. Listen to one of our knowledgeable guides as they talk about FAO’s mandate, its history and various projects in the field. With our Zoom visits, you’ll also learn about some of the most important meeting rooms at headquarters where world leaders meet and where knowledge is shared and turned into action.

Not part of a school or group? Not a problem! Discover our online experience presentation and get a glimpse inside FAO. Read about the Organization’s early beginnings, understand its mandate and learn about its governing bodies. You’ll get to see the different rooms and spaces where high-level meetings and exhibits take place, and learn about FAO’s diverse art collection donated by its Member States.

Be sure to check out the group visits website to find out more about how to schedule a virtual group visit and access the online experience presentation.
