Introducing the Executive Bureau
The Executive Bureau is responsible for the daily management of the preparations for the FAO/NL Conference on the Multifunctional Character of Agriculture and Land. It is based at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries of the Government of the Netherlands is responsible for the overall logistic management and organisation.
The EB (as the Executive Bureau is known) maintains continuous contact with its partners at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries of the Netherlands and in particular, the DLO, the Agricultural Research Department (Dienst Landbouwkundig Onderzoek).
In Rome, the Executive Bureau reports to the Strategy Committee. Louise Fresco, Director, Research, Training and Extension Division (SDR), acts as Chairperson of the Strategy Committee.
