Participation at the Maastricht Conference
- Participation in the Conference is by invitation only.
- A joint invitation to participate in the September Conference has been issued by the Director-General of FAO and the Minister of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries of the Government of the Netherlands.
- The invitations were sent to Ministries and selected NGOs, private sector enterprises and civil society representative organisations.
- There is limited space available at the Conference. As a result, no further invitations will be sent.
- Participants will be senior experts in agricultural development, food security and/or natural resource and land management. They will come from a wide range of institutions and organizations, including government Ministries, international organizations, NGOs and other sectors of civil society, such as farmers organizations and land and other natural resource-user groups. Those who cannot participate in person will be able to follow and contribute to the deliberations by email and internet.
