FAO Mongolia project provided 1.0 ton multi-component disinfectant

To increase the effectiveness of control measures to stop the spread of outbreaks of a highly contagious animal disease, at the official request of the Government of Mongolia, FAO Mongolia under the SFER/GLO/005/MUL project provided 1.0 ton of a multi-component disinfectant Hi-Cop to the Department of Veterinary and Animal Breeding (DVAB).

The ultimate broad spectrum virucidal disinfectant “Hi-Cop” is proven effective at 1:5000 dilution against Avian influenza, 1:2000 dilution against Foot and Mouth disease (FMD) and is powerful effective viral families causing disease in birds and animal. Proven Efficacy of the disinfectant tested by Institute for Animal Health Pirbright Laboratory against FMD virus.

Within the framework of TCP/MON/3603 “Emergency assistance for the control of Sheep and Goat Poxproject, FAO Mongolia provided 1 ton of the same disinfectant for the Veterinary Service of Mongolia  in 2016 and 2.4 tons in 2017.
