Forests and water in mountain catchments: education, citizen science and the Mountain Partnership

A thematic session on “Forest and water in mountain catchments: education, citizen science and Mountain Partnership” will take place during the International Environmental Education Conference, to be held on 30 May–1 June 2018 at Eger University in Hungary. In the framework of the European Forestry Commission Working Party on the Management of Mountain Watersheds, the session will correspond with the long-term programme on mountains of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, which hosts the Mountain Partnership Secretariat, and the European Union forest strategy on "Using forests and forest land in a way, and at a rate, that maintains their biodiversity, productivity, regeneration capacity, vitality and their potential, now and in the future". The thematic session will take place on 31 May.
