Summer Field School on Mountain Ecosystems and Resource Management

The Grassroots Institute, alongside its partners and collaborators, is holding a Summer Field School on Mountain Ecosystems and Resource Management (FSc MER 2021). The training will examine mountain ecosystems in the contexts of human development and natural resources. The programme takes an intersectional approach to natural resource management, considering social, political, economic, cultural and gender dimensions.

The summer school will be conducted online in English with participants joining from various countries of Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Oceania. The programme has been designed to address the contemporary topics of mountain ecology, sustainable development and traditional human niche over nine days of lessons by highly competent teachers, trainers and practitioners.
