1st International Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Research and Innovation in Mountain Environments (LACMONT 2021)

The 1st International Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Research and Innovation in Mountain Environments (LACMONT 2021) will take place on the 11-13 May 2021 in virtual mode. LACMONT 2021 aims to promote and strengthen the exchange of experiences between researchers and other experts on mountain themes, involving institutions and organizations of Latin America and the Caribbean and also from other countries. The event will lead to the establishment of a Research Network, including the definition of its priorities and procedures.

The event is linked to initiatives developed within the framework of the United Nations, notably the Mountain Partnership, and aims to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Organizers include Mountain Partnership members Crescente Fertil and Embrapa, among others.
