Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories "Mountains" (IISTC "Mountains")

The independent non-profit organization, International Innovation Scientific and Technological Centre’s Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories “Mountains” (IISTC “Mountains”), performs fundamental and applied research to create and develop biosphere reserves in the Caucasus region.
The main activities of IISTC “Mountains” are:
• Study of problems of science, education, culture, economy and social sphere (the social and economic block);
• Creation and development of biosphere reserves;
• Research and development in the field of environmental protection and conservation of nature;
• Research on problems of power engineering, development and introduction of energy-efficient technologies, creation of a scientific and technological basis of application of nonconventional power resources and renewable energy sources;
• Holding regional, Russian and international meetings, conferences and seminars and participating in them.
• The publication of scientific works.
