Sustainable development is one of the priorities of the Municipality of Guarda, the highest city in Portugal. The municipality has been developing practices that value the protection and conservation of nature, investing in awareness campaigns for fire protection and increase in alternative energies. The collection and treatment of solid waste, the commitment to clean energy through electric mobility, the protection of forests, ensuring the quality of the county's mountain areas/rivers/shorelines, and the management of the dog and feline population are some of the priorities of the municipality in relation to environmental protection and action. |
