The Centro Científico Tropical - CCT (Tropical Science Center) is a private, non-profit, Costa Rican organization established in 1962 and located in San Pedro de Montes de Oca. CCT is formed by 50 members, all distinguished scientists and professionals from a variety of professional and academic backgrounds, organizations, institutions, and businesses throughout Costa Rica and the Americas. Since 1962, CCT has carried out research and consulting projects, in Costa Rica, Central America, and several South American countries, as well as other tropical regions such as Africa and Southeast Asia. CCT’s work has influenced natural resource management and related policies in over 25 tropical countries. |
