The Bolivian Mountain Institute (BMI) is a non-profit foundation legally registered and based in La Paz, Bolivia. The BMI was originally founded by a small group of enthusiasts, inspired by the United Nation´s International Year of Mountains in 2002. Our mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of Bolivian mountain regions through scientific investigation, capacity building and technical assistance, exchange of experiences and project implementation. |
