Colorado Mountain College (CMC)

Colorado Mountain College (CMC) operates a system of 11 campuses over 12 000 square miles. Given its unique geographic location, the college specializes in degrees that speak to the pillars of the Mountain Partnership. Degree and certificate programmes offered by the college include: Sustainability Studies, Environmental Science, Avalanche Science, Forest Service, Wilderness Emergency Medicine, Wilderness Rescue, Ski Area Operations, Ski Business, Ski and Snowboard Design, Hospitality, and Tourism. Our goal with each programme is to train the future leaders within mountain communities in best practices that grow and sustain environmental and socio-economic vitality.  CMC received the 2017 Green Ribbon Schools Award Winner for dedication to the environmental sustainability of its operations across the Rocky Mountain Region. Within the United States, CMC charges the third lowest tuition rate for Bachelor’s degrees and received the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence for recognition as one of the top 13 percent of two-year U.S. colleges.
