Global International Terraced Landscapes Alliance (ITLA)

The global International Terraced Landscapes Alliance (ITLA) is an alliance of networks and communities that aims to prevent the abandonment of terraced landscapes and their marginal areas, and to experiment with new policies and specific tools for these areas and their users.
Since its foundation in 2010, ITLA has been committed to recovering the memory of the terraces and reinventing them as active resources that can be used to meet new social demands for food and agriculture, leisure, education, social interaction and quality of life with beautiful and safe landscapes in the face of natural risks.
