New Zealand Alpine Club

New Zealand Alpine Club (NZAC) is very active across a range of fronts relevant to the mission and principles of the Mountain Partnership. These include:
• Owner of a network of mountain huts and lodges across the country, from road-accessible lodges to the highest alpine huts.
• Provider of an Instruction programme encompassing rock climbing, ice climbing, ski mountaineering and alpinism from novice to advanced levels.
• Advocate for the interests of members especially relating to public access and conservation.
• Provider of a series of high quality, national events including the Banff Mountain Film Festival, inspirational speaker tours, the National Boulder Series, annual Photo Competition and national Climbing Camp.
• Publisher of two mountain periodicals, The Climber (quarterly), and New Zealand Alpine Journal (annually), as well as a large range of guidebooks and other publications covering mountain areas across New Zealand.
• Provider of range of online services to members and the general public including access to mountain information, an online climbing route database, and regular newsletters and other correspondence to members on subjects of interest.
