Ecosystems 2010: Global Progress on Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management

Following-up on the international consensus that was achieved in the 1990s on the need for ecosystem-based fisheries management, fisheries scientists from around the world will meet next month at the Ecosystems 2010: Global Progress on Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management symposium to evaluate whether EBFM is being successfully implemented.

The meeting, the 26th Lowell Wakefield Fisheries Symposium and co-sponsored by FAO, will be held in Anchorage, Alaska (United States of America) from 8–11 November 2010.
