ToT for Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture

Taulihawa-A two-week Farmers Field School(FFS) Training of Trainers(ToT) kicked off in Taulihawa, Kapilbastu district on 2 May 2017.

FAO  project entitled “Reducing vulnerability and increasing adaptive capacity to respond to impacts of climate change and variability for sustainable livelihoods in agriculture sector in Nepal” has organized the training in collaboration with the District Agriculture Development Office and District Livestock Service Office in Kapilbastu with an objective to impart practical skills and knowledge on the implementation of year round farmers’
field school to 29 local facilitators and 6 Social mobilizers.

Experts of Nepal Agriculture Research Council(NARC), Department of Agricultureand the FAO are resource persons in the training. 

The project aims at producing 120 FFS Facilitators in the distrcts of Arghakhanchi, Kapilbastu, Siraha and Udaypur who will be entrusted to operate Farmers Field Schools in the project area.
