A primary insect pest of farm-stored products, Larger Grain Borer has been reported to have caused post-harvest losses of up to 40 percent (dry weight) over a three to six month storage period. Damage at this scale is extraordinarily high and demonstrates the destructive nature of this pest. LGB can also cause great damage to crops in the field.
