World Soil Day-Interview with the Director of Jamaica’s Agricultural Land Management Division
December 6, 2017- World Soil Day was celebrated in Jamaica on December 5, 2017 at the Ebony Park Academy. A national ceremony and exposition was held to highlight the importance of soil and the benefits of soil testing. FAO joined in the celebrations with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, through its Agricultural Land Management Division. Mrs Joan Morrison, Director of the Division, conducted an interview on Jamaican radio programme- Dorraine’s Coffee Break- Agrobuzz, regarding the importance of soil and how Jamaica celebrated World Soil Day on December 5, 2017.
