1 July 2015, Rome--- Today, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization released The Agricultural Outlook for 2015-2024. The collaborative report between these two international organizations takes a look at prospects for different aspects of global production over the next decade. How will global crops fare? What might we expect in terms of price fluctuations? Which countries poised to be important importers and exporters of our staple foods? Also included in the outlook is a special feature on Brazil, which has seen a surge in agricultural growth and expanded trade. According to experts this positions it as a stand out country for those monitoring our global food systems.

Boubaker Ben-Belhassen is the Director of FAO’s Trade and Markets Division. In the following interview he will provide a bit more insight into this latest outlook and analysis. (Interview conducted by Sandra Ferrari)
