Online hub for pastoralists aims to give a voice to millions
27 April 2015, Rome--- A new online Pastoralist knowledge hub has been launched by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization and its partners today. According to FAO, there are several hundred million pastoralists globally who manage the world’s rangelands. Despite their importance to food production and ecosystems, however, the agricultural practices and livelihoods of these often nomadic herders face a number of challenges.

Pablo Manzano is the Coordinator of the Pastoralist Knowledge Hub. In the following interview he elaborates on some of the challenges facing pastoralists today and how the knowledge hub can potentially support them. (Interview conducted by Sandra Ferrari)
