©FAO/Simon Maina
26 September 2013, Rome-- Greenhouse gas emissions from the livestock production sector worldwide could be cut by 30 percent overall, using best practices and technologies that already exist. A new study released by FAO outlines where those cuts can be made and how the livestock production sector can do it.

Pierre Gerber is Livestock policy officer within FAO. In the following interview, he talked about the significance of this report and why it shouldn’t be a missed opportunity for policy makers and the livestock production sector.
