World Humanitarian Summit: boosting the impact of humanitarian responses to food crises

23 May 2016, Istanbul/Brussels/Rome--- The World Humanitarian Summit begins today and runs through tomorrow in Istanbul, Turkey. This summit is meant to be a global call to action by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who hopes to revitalize the international communities commitments to the world’s humanitarian needs.

Dominique Burgeon, Director of FAO's Emergency and Rehabilitation Division and FAO's Strategic Programme Leader on Resilience, tells us more about the event and the prominence of food security issues. Interview conducted by Sandra Ferrari
