The Malian Minister for Agriculture of and the FAO representatives in Mali have visited Mopti province invaded by the locusts causing devastating damage to the agriculture sector in the country. In some provinces such Djénné, new invasion was announced together with an infection for an estimated surface of 500 hectares. In Douantzan region the situation still remains alarming due to infection of 20 hectares surface.
