Exchanging Knowledge through South South and Triangular Cooperation
©FAO/Giuseppe Carotenuto
6 June 2018, Rome--- Ending rural poverty is critical for countries to meet the 2030 Agenda and in particular the first two goals, No poverty (SDG 1) and Zero hunger (SDG 2). Many countries have developed successful policies, programmes and strategies that are lifting people out of poverty and hunger and that serve as examples for others, especially those with similar socio-cultural and economic backgrounds. In this line, knowledge sharing through South-South and Triangular Cooperation is a very powerful tool as it facilitates the exchange of lessons learnt and best practices among countries of the global south to help them end poverty and hunger.

The side-event aims to share successful experience on hunger and poverty eradication from the KEPs countries, including how multi-sectoral approaches and integrated policies can accelerate progress towards the achievement of these SDGs.
