Young farmer gears up for agricultural business
2012 National Best Farmer in Ghana comes at FAO, Rome

17 June 2013, Rome (FAO)–In addition to selected Heads of state and Government, FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva also handed diploma to farmer-members of the Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen for their outstanding contribution to the national efforts towards hunger eradication.
39 year old-Lemuel Quarshie Martey was awarded 2012 National Best Farmer in Ghana and came to Rome to receive the MDG1 Diploma along with John A. Dziwonu, National Secretary of the Association and Agbo Ignatius, 2011 National Best Farmer.
