World Soil Day2016 and International Year of Pulses end of year celebration
5 December 2016, Rome--- During the event, a new book “Soils & Pulses: symbiosis for life” has been launched. The book presents scientific facts, information and technical recommendations on the symbiosis between soils and pulses to decision makers and practitioners. This event addressed the World Soil Day and the end of the International Year of Pulses celebrations. It focused on the multifaceted benefits of pulses for health and nutrition and for their contribution to agriculture, the environment and food security as well as foster the implementation of the soils and pulses symbiosis.
