Fertilizer Use to Surpass 200 Million Tonnes in 2018
16 February, 2015, Rome--- Global fertilizer use is likely to rise above 200.5 million tonnes in 2018, 25 percent higher than recorded in 2008. This is according to a new World fertilizer trends and outlook report released by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization.
Caterina Batello is a Senior Officer with FAO's Plant Production and Protection Division. In the following interview she elaborates on the figures seen in the report and what they mean.
