©FAO/Hoang Dinh Nam
2 May 2016--- One of the main challenges that the world community is facing today is to ensure food security for its rising population. In this sense, indigenous farmers in many parts of the world - including in Nepal - are doing really important work to tackle the stress that the world community is facing in terms of climate change and food insecurity. Indigenous practices are something that the world community needs to look at and learn from. Developed over many generations, indigenous food production systems are sustainable and resilient.
