High Level event on climate change and agroforestry

28 November 2016, Rome--- With the conclusion of COP22 in Marrakesh, countries have already indicated through their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) that agriculture is one of the most important sectors for both climate change adaption needs and mitigation potential. FAO is hosting today a High-level event on Climate Change and Agroforestry, in collaboration with the “Fondazione Centro per un Futuro Sostenibile”, to highlight the central role of the agricultural sectors for implementing the NDCs and the key role that agroforestry can play in developing sustainable land use systems in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
