WEST AFRICA EBOLA EMERGENCY
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is warning that food trade and marketing in the three West African countries has been severely affected by the spread of the Ebola virus. FAO also says what has become the world’s worst outbreak, is putting the harvest season at serious risk because of a shortage of workers. In Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, quarantine zones and restrictions on people's movements have had a devastating impact on the economy. FAO Chief Veterinary Officer Juan Lubroth explains more.
