Yemen humanitarian crisis
Following an escalation of conflict in Yemen, up to 61 percent of the country’s population is now in need of some form of humanitarian aid. Yemen is the poorest country in the Arab world and already faces widespread food insecurity and malnutrition. Shukri Ahmed, Senior Economist at FAO explains the risks and why assistance is needed now.
