PPR kills endangered Mongolian antelope for the first time
FAO’s chief veterinary officer, Juan Lubroth, discusses the spillover of PPR from domestic animals in Mongolia to Saiga antelope, warning that many more of the endangered animals may die. Extra efforts to vaccinate sheep and goats in areas where they may mingle with wildlife is essential.
