Challenges and Opportunities: Food Insecurity in Sierra Leone

In the 2008 report on the State of Food Insecurity, FAO names Sierra Leone as one of the countries hardest hit by months of higher food and fuel prices. The Government of Sierra Leone, with the support of FAO, is responding to the hunger crisis with short-term emergency actions as well as longer-term measures designed to reduce the country's vulnerability.
