The FAO Radio and Video Unit produces and distributes professional video and radio material in several languages on a broad range of subjects relating to FAO’s mandate, including food security, sustainable development, agriculture, forestry, fisheries and rural development.

The FAO Radio and Video Unit provides diversified assistance to radio and television networks around the world with a variety of services including the provision of background information and logistical support for the preparation of programmes that are relevant to FAO's work and mandate; distribution of audio segments and video footage relating to key FAO projects and events; and the coordination of media interviews with FAO experts at headquarters in Rome and in offices around the world.

The FAO Radio and Video Unit is based in FAO headquarters in Rome and comprises a professional in-house production team; fully-equipped live recording and post-production studios with an audio ISDN line and HD video / audio fiber-optic connection through EBU; and an extensive archive of video footage and audio recordings relating to FAO’s work all over the world.
