Meetings on Access and Benefit-sharing for Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture

In 2011, the Commission decided to establish an Ad Hoc Technical Working Group on Access and Benefit-sharing for Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture and requested the Director-General of FAO to convene a three-day meeting of the Working Group. The meeting was held from 11 to 13 September 2012 in Longyearbyen (Svalbard), Norway.

In 2013, the Commission established a Team of Technical and Legal Experts on Access and Benefit-Sharing.
