Bringing close research results to the field

The workshop focused on promoting application of the GIS and Remote Sensing technology in Agriculture Research and bringing research results closer to the field.  FAO GAEZ data portal was presented. In addition updates on the new products such as GLC-SHARE beta release database 2013 and developments planned for GAEZ data portal we presented to the participants. The participants appreciated the products and asked for continued support from FAO on the AEZ methodology and data portal. GAEZ data portal and quite a number of datasets from FAO are currently used in the research activities.
