GAEZ presented to the FAO Investment Days

GAEZ was presented furing the session on GIS/Satellite-based solutions for investments operations. The session focused on the application of Geospatial Information Systems to target investments. A number of geospatila tools, products and applications relevant to sustainable management of land and water resources were presented and demonstrated duirng the session. References and links to GIS datasets and applications were provided. The session was chaired and moderated by Renato Cumani, Land and Water Officer, NRL. Presentations on the FAO/IIASA Global Agro-Ecological Zones data portal, Somalia Water and Land Information Management project and Modern Spatial data and analysis for water and NRM investmetns were made by Guenther Fischer (IIASA), Hussein Gadain (SWALIM) and Nagaraja Rao Harshadeep (The World Bank Group).
