We are looking for best practices in reducing the environmental impact of food loss and waste and create multiple goods and services to humanity. Our aim is to document practical knowledge of the issue of food waste reduction and eradication for policy makers, consumers, company leaders and other stakeholders.
Some of the examples featured in this database have been the basis of the Toolkit on Food Wastage Footprint Reduction which classifies over 80 food wastage reduction good practices according to their environmental footprint using the inverted pyramid categories (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle/Recover, Landfill).
If you know any practices reducing food wastage, while having positive socio-environmental impacts (if they are quantified it would be even better), we invite you to share these with us. Your contributions will be featured on this website allowing them to be widely disseminated.
