The field programme includes the provision of technical assistance in a wide range of projects dealing with improving secure access to land. The types of projects include: - emergency and post-conflict
- major agrarian reform activities
- communal land demarcation/management
- land consolidation
- land titling and registration
- land taxation
- common property resource management
Projects include those funded by FAO as well as those of the World Bank and other international finance institutions. The field programme provides additional support to increase capacity in countries to improve land policies and technical practices in different thematic areas.
Land consolidation
FAO’s work in Central and Eastern Europe includes regional workshops which provide a forum for specialists from different countries to share their experiences and to form a network of land administration specialists responsible for implementing land consolidation projects.
