Gender equality means that men and women have equal conditions for realizing their full human rights and potential to contribute to national, political, economic, social and cultural development and to benefit from the results. In water management for agriculture this means that both men and women have equal conditions for using water for agricultural production, for contributing to its management and for benefiting from its use.
