Le programme de la FAO sur l'agriculture biologique a pour objectif à long terme d'améliorer la sécurité alimentaire, le développement rural, les moyens d'existence durable et l'intégrité environnementale par le biais du renforcement des capacités des États membres dans les domaines de la production agricole biologique, de la transformation, de la certification et de la commercialisation des produits qui en sont issus.
