Plant Pathology Division, Department of Exploitation and Protection of the Agricultural and Forestry Resources (DI.VA.P.R.A), University of Torino

The Plant Pathology Division does research and teaching on biological and phytoiatric features of plant diseases. Its current research work concerns biology and epidemiology of fungus diseases of vegetables, ornamentals, crops and both forest and urban trees, molecular methods of diagnosis, physiological and molecular aspects of host-parasite interaction, unwanted side-effects of fungicides and fumigants and the development of ecocompatible strategies for the control of plant diseases. "Diseases in organic fruit production" is a current research project in the Division.
