Title: Increasing incomes of small farmers through exports of organic and fair-trade tropical products.

Objectives: Reducing poverty and food insecurity in rural areas of selected LIFDCs of West Africa through the generation of incomes and employment in sustainable agriculture.

• Grassroot institutional networks elaborate best practices in organic agriculture for selected products and provide training in production and marketing.
• An increasing number of farmer groups produce selected crops according to best practices and comply with organic and/or fair-trade standards.
• Farmer groups and exporters become competent partners for the European trade and are exporting.
