Planet Forward Prize for global urban sustainability

George Washington University (GWU) School of Media and Public Affairs and the FAO Liaison Office for North America (FAO-LOW) partnered to issue the Planet Forward Prize, an innovation award for students which aims at finding solutions for global urban sustainability.

The 2016 Planet Forward Summit took place on April 21-22, at the George Washington University. Speaking during the event, FAO-LOW Director Ajay Markanday said: "FAO-LOW is pleased to invest with GWU in the emerging leaders of tomorrow by providing a platform to showcase their innovative ideas, to improve solutions to help cities thrive sustainably and ensure global food and nutrition security’’.
