2016 International Symposium on the History of Food and National Food Culture

Lomonosov Moscow State University organized the third International Symposium on the History of Food and National Food Culture. This year the event focused on Pulses in Russian Food Culture. The event took place in Moscow on 27-29 October 2016.

The symposium is a unique academic event which aims to bring Russian scholars specializing in food studies together with academics, policy makers and business people engaged in the sector of food history and culinary traditions; it provided a forum for interaction among food studies specialists; introduced foreign scholars to the current state of research in food studies in Russia; built contacts among international specialists in this area and promoted Russian culinary traditions.
