Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation (FAO) in partnership with the Sam Moyo African Institute for Agrarian Studies (SMAIAS) will organize a Policy Dialogue Workshop on “Sustainable Development Goals and Agrarian Transformations in the Global South: Trends and Opportunities” on 23-27 October 2017 in Harare, Zimbabwe. This event  will be build upon the ongoing partnership between FAO and SMAIAS which was formalized through a Memoranda of Understanding in September 2016.

The main objective of the Policy Dialogue is to exchange knowledge and experiences on agrarian issues, sustainable investment in agriculture and food systems, sustainable and inclusive value chains; and climate change and migration within the context of the SDGs.
