New York, 24 September 2014 – In a world where increasing urbanization, rising populations, and expanding agricultural land use are encroaching on ecosystems and impacting on biodiversity, two United Nations agencies have come together to work for a more sustainable future. In collaboration with National Geographic Magazine, FAO has launched an international photo contest that is aiming to draw attention to how and why good nutrition matters – for people and societies.
