Virtual Dialogue: Parliamentary action for gender equality and resilient food systems in response to COVID19

Join parliamentarians from Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean in a virtual dialogue to discuss the gender implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on food security and nutrition.
 
This webinar is the first in a series which aims to enhance the role of parliamentarians in mitigating the gender-differentiated impacts of COVID-19 on food systems. It is organized by FAO in collaboration with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and Oxfam.  
 
The virtual dialogue will offer a unique opportunity for parliamentarians from around the world to reflect on their role in tackling the COVID-19 crisis. Participants will share examples of good practices in terms of gender-responsive policy measures undertaken in their respective regions to reinforce food security and food systems. The discussion will enhance parliamentarians' actions on the implementation of policies and legislation for empowering women in agriculture and food systems during COVID-19 and beyond.
