The 2020 International Seminar on Global Poverty Reduction Partnerships will combine both offline and online forms involving subject matter experts, government officials, UN officials, and development practitioners from developing countries to enable an informed discussion on empowering the rural poor amidst COVID-19.

The offline meeting in Gansu will provide an opportunity for attendants to learn first-hand knowledge about the practices of poverty reduction in Gansu.

The online seminar will provide the opportunity for more informed discussions as well as lessons and experiences sharing on poverty reduction and digitalization. Online meetings will be open to the UN and government officials, scholars, development practitioners, policy influencers and relevant stakeholders from China, Latin America, Africa and other countries from the South.
