This specific brief highlights the work done together with IFOAM - Organics International through the Mountain Partnership, providing key facts and results of the partnership, specifically on what was achieved through the Mountain Partnership Products (MPP) Initiative.

FAO and the United States of America have partnered closely over the past 75 years on efforts to end hunger and malnutrition around the world. The United States of America is the largest financial contributor to FAO’s budget — with USD 801 million through assessed and voluntary contributions in the 2018–20 period — and a key partner collaborating with FAO across the food and agriculture sector, from global crop forecasting and food safety, to disaster assistance, economic sustainability of agriculture and resilience building.
South-south Cooperation

Cooperation between national NGOs in West and Central Africa has advanced transparency and legality objectives in the forest sector across the region. The FAO-EUForest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Programme has partnered with local NGOs to expand Independent Forest Monitoring activities by promoting regional cooperation. Independent forest observers are now better equipped to monitor the use of forest resources and participate in related decision-making processes.

En las dos últimas décadas, España, principalmente a través de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) y el Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación, ha sido un firme aliado en todos los aspectos del trabajo de la FAO, principalmente en el sector de la pesca y en la promoción de políticas que garantizan el derecho a la alimentación, la protección de los recursos fitogenéticos y la mejora de la seguridad alimentaria.
